Mar 2006: Etalim Inc. was founded and incorporated.
Dec 2006: Etalim Inc. receives National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) funding to hire mechanical engineer in order to speed up development efforts.
Dec 2007: Initial feasibility experiments successfully concluded. Work started on a prototype Thermal Electric Generator (TEG).
Apr 2008: Etalim Inc. receives additional National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program funding.
June 2009: Ron Klopfer, an experienced serial entrepreneur, is appointed as Etalim’s CEO.
September 2009: Etalim is awarded 2nd prize for most promising startup, out of 180 competitors in the BC Innovation Council New Ventures BC competition. Etalim also receives the BC Hydro Sustainability Prize.
October 2009: Etalim receives a third round of R&D grant funding from the NRC-IRAP program.
January 2010: Etalim successfully completes the maiden run of the TEG prototype.
